Lion and Rocket are looking for homes!!

Lion and Rocket are still available and looking for homes! They are both showing signs of going brown. Rocket has more brown than Lion. They are almost twins!! Here are some photos I took less than an hour ago!

Puppy Update -July 23, 2009

Midnight has now gone to Pete. Midnight is a very lucky boy as he will spend lots of time outdoors and with a family that is already besotted with him. He will also be living in one of my favourite areas on the island! Lucky boy!

Pete came to see the pups and had a look at the three pups that were available (we only have two now! Rocket and Lion). After the pups had a bit of sniff and Lion gave Pete a look that would melt hearts Midnight firmly walked over to Pete’s feet and laid down. Thus Midnight chose Pete and decided a life of vast open outdoors was ideal.

No doubt we will have viewers for Lion and Rocket soon!

DP has his home name: Houston. As in ‘Houston, we have a problem!’

Aponi’s family will being keeping her name and I’ve been told that Nigella will be Aponi’s official owner! Congratulations Nigella!!

Bear’s dad is amazed at how quickly Bear has changed and is growing! That will teach Ed to leave it 3 days between visits!!!

Takaani is being visited by his family daily. He was definitely aware of who Mum was, but now he actually sits and waits for her!!! Takaani is getting some white hair underneath his tail and he has it up and curling. So he continues to be the leader in the ‘Who Looks Most Like Mum’ game!

Rocket and Lion are both still black, but they both are showing a bit of brown tipped fur around the ears.

We are constantly mopping up the floor. This puppy stole a freshly laundered warm towel off the Aga to sleep on!
I think it is Midnight, but can’t remember! They are constantly doing adorable things!! We were going to give them the towels! He just beat us to it and let us know we were taking too long!

Mum lying down with the pups, she usually feeds them standing up. I think they are almost weaned and that they will be ready to go sooner than I imagined!

The ‘Twins’ (Takaani and Bear) cuddling on a shelf, which is now a bit puppy chewed! They don’t mind, it’s fun to lie and chew!

3 Not So Wee Boys Looking For Homes

We have 3 boys that are still looking for homes!! Rocket, Midnight and Lion. They are all very loving, affectionate and looking for a kind and loving home.

All of the boys that are left are super cuddly and enjoy hugging and giving licks.

These boys are going to grow up to be a bit bigger than their mum and have many of her traits, including long fur. Rocket is looking like he is going brown, especially around his ears and head.

The puppies are fine with cats. The cats are now walking through the kitchen and none of the puppies are chasing them.

Rocket got his name from a Sketcher’s shoe box that he was put in so we could weigh him on proper old fashioned kitchen scales! He may well end up running fast like his mum, but at present he is very much a normal playful puppy.

Lion’s name came out of thin air. There is no reason for it. It was just picked and it felt right to everyone there!

Midnight got his name from having the only all black paws out of all the puppies. The easiest way to identify individual puppies is through the markings on their paws, or with midnight, the lack of markings!! Midnight is Julian’s favourite at the moment. So it is only fitting that he is holding him for the photos!

Shilah Takaani is the most changed pup of this litter. He is going to be living literally just down the road from us, which is ideal!

Takaani was voted 2nd most likely to look like a wolf, but every day he is getting more and more wolf like!

It looks like his ears may go up! How does it get any better than that??

Lion, Rocket and Midnight: Looking For Homes

We have three adorable boys that are still looking for loving homes! These boys are very playful and loving! They enjoy long leisurely naps and snuggling in laps and little nooks and crannies. They like big meals, followed by even more naps and then a bit of play before either another meal or nap or both!!!
